June Fishing in Islamorada

What's up y'all! It's Captain Drew with some Fishy Business for ya! The June fishing has been exceptional lately. There is an insane amount of small tarpon around Islamorada right now that have made for some great fishing during first light. By 9am or so it's time to move to something else due to the boat traffic but that makes it the perfect time to catch some fish for dinner. Mangrove snappers have been the preferred tablefare with their nice white meat and the countless ways you can prepare them. This is a great option for the people who want to beat the heat on our 4hr summer time trips.

On our 6 and 8hr trips this time of the year fishing has been great in the Everglades National Park. I've been making about an hour long run into where we like to call Flamingo for snook, redfish, tarpon, and tripletail. With the will to make a lot of casts, the days have proven to be successful. Although it gets very hot by about 11am so dress appropriately for the sun and occasional mosquitos with long pants, shoes, and a long-sleeve shirt.

Whether its your first time fishing in the Florida Keys or you've been coming here for years, I'm happy to tailor a fishing trip to your desire. I love taking all different kinds of anglers fishing from the novice first-timer, to the avid tarpon whisperer. So if you don't know what kind of fishing that I offer, just ask! The main goal for me is to provide the most enjoyable fishing day for you based on the conditions. We fish for countless different species but this time of the year but the most sought after are snook, tarpon, and tripletail.
