Snapper and Snook Bliss

Hey everyone, welcome to another juicy report with yours truly! I am overjoyed to express how amazing the mangrove and yellowtail snapper bite has been on the reef! it has been an all out blitz with non-stop action the whole family can enjoy! This is the perfect time of year while the kids are out of school to take a vacation to the Florida Keys, and book a fishing charter for an epic time you will never forget. Most all of the families that I fish take their fresh catch over to Lazy Days for some amazing fried fish or the Islamorada Shrimp Shack for their famous Blackened snapper tacos... My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it! This is a bucket list experience in Islamorada for those who enjoy eating a tasty, organic reward from the day's success. It also happens to be my favorite kind of trip because I personally love the constant action.

As for the everglades, fishing has stayed red hot... and I'm not trying to be that cliche fisherman that says the fish are always biting, but right now we have some of the best snook fishing I have seen since 2010! Redfish and trout have been thrown in the mix as well, but mainly snook have taken over the scene due to the double digits of fish over 30 inches I've been catching on the majority of my full day trips. Not only that, but a great fall back has been the trout or the tripletail if the conditions don't line up for the snook.

It's awesome seeing such a massive amount of life back there and I hope to check in with y'all soon to speak about another great report! Hope everyone is having a great summer and happy fishing!

Tight Lines,

Capt. Drew Nobregas
